GRTA Negotiations Update
On January 7, 2026, the District and GRTA held their fourth negotiations bargaining session for 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 contract reopeners. The District and GRTA are close to agreement on Article X (Leaves), Article XII (Class Size), Article XIII (Teacher Safety), Article XXII (Salary) (current offer salary schedule increased by 2% retroactive to July 1, 2025 and an addition of $500 to the District's Health CAP cost to increase it to $15,000), Article XXII (Fringe Benefits), and Article XXIII (Extra Duties), (Title VII (Teacher Evaluation), Article XIV (Teacher’s Work Year), and Article XXIV (Peer Assistance and Peer Review (PAR), but are continuing to discuss the language related to association use of preparatory periods in Article IV (Association Rights).
The District and GRTA will continue negotiations on January 28, 2026.
